About BFMK

What this blog is all about?

So what is this all about? Well I hope if you stay long enough, we can find out together. It really took me a long long time start blogging. Since my younger days, I've never really been able to keep up with writing in my "journals". Every year, I would buy a journal/diary, and tried to write in it as much thoughts and things I could everyday. I still keep some of the journals that I wrote in and there were many empty pages in those journals. I suppose this blog here, was/is the part me that wants to continue writing stuff. In a way, I figured that it would be good way for me remember the things that interest me by putting it in this blog. And it's also a way of putting my presence online, a way of getting just a little piece of real estate in the online world (instead of being boxed up in places like Facebook).

I didn't really know what title I should be putting up actually. There's just many things that I find interesting and have a opinion about and didn't want a title that just generalized this blog in a certain category. My general areas of interest in this blog will most likely cover subjects on technology(new tech, old tech, weird tech), food, travelling, maybe some PC/mobile games, current events, entertainment and maybe even some Feng Shui. Well I hope I'll be able to cover those subjects.

This blog will also be a platform for me to improve my writing. I'm not hoping to be a professional but I just hope to improve my writing to be a decent writer.

Abit about me, BFMK

So, who am I? As you might have guessed, my initials are BFMK. My name is Benji Foong Mun Kit and I'm a Malaysian. I've been living and working in the Philippines for the past 6 years now. I'm happily married to a Flipina beauty and we have a 2 wonderful girls. I quit my job about in January, 2014. My previous work involves a lot of One Leg Kicking! which pretty much sums up that I have to do everything my boss tell me to do. If by any chance you may have a possible job opening, do drop me a line. The link to my profile in LinkedIn is at the bottom.

On Being A Malaysian

I supposed like many Malaysians who live work in foreign countries, there would be a single common passion(I'm not sure if this word is suitable, couldn't think of a better word), and this passion would grow stronger the more we stay out of Malaysia. This passion would be food, specifically Malaysian food. We just love our food! I would say this would be a single possible "identity" all Malaysians can relate to. Simple foods such as "Teh Tarik" ("Pulled" Milk Tea), "Roti Canai" and "Nasi Lemak" are enough to wet our taste buds, just mentioning it.
